Welcome for a wreck tour review! Last year, the legendary Morbid Angel announced a tour package that left us all in awe. With four death metal bands on the lineup, we knew we were in for a treat. The anticipation built up as we eagerly awaited the start of the tour, and it did not disappoint.
From the very beginning, this tour proved to be a force to be reckoned with. The west coast dates sold out in a flash, and fans were buzzing with excitement. However, the true test of this tour’s strength came early on at the Belvedere in Chicago.

Despite a massive incident at the venue, the tour pressed on and the bands continued to deliver their top-notch performances. This only served to make the tour package even stronger and more furious, as they refused to let anything stand in the way of bringing their music to the masses.
For all of us lucky enough to witness this tour in person, we can attest to the fact that it was truly one of the heaviest and ass-kicking experiences in recent memory. Morbid Angel and their fellow death metal cohorts proved that they are still at the top of their game and can deliver unforgettable performances night after night.
Crypta
Gramercy Theater in New York City was the place to be on the 11th of March 2023, as the night was set to witness some of the best names in the metal scene. The night began with the Brazilian quartet Crypta, who took the stage by storm and won the crowd’s heart with their powerful performance. The quartet showed off their skills and left a lasting impression with their thrilling set, making it clear that they are a band to watch out for in the future.
Up next was Vitriol, who never fail to impress with their incredible stage presence and live performance. The band’s electrifying energy was palpable as they tore through their set, leaving the crowd in awe. The highlight of their performance was undoubtedly the sheer intensity and power that emanated from the stage, leaving the audience completely captivated.

Revocation
Revocation took the stage next, with frontman David Davidson sporting a cast on his left hand. However, the band proved that the show must go on, and Noah Young’s impeccable guitar playing more than made up for Davidson’s absence on the instrument. Revocation’s setlist was predominantly made up of tracks from their new album, Netherheaven, but they also performed some of their older material, leaving the crowd wanting more.

Morbid Angel
Finally, it was time for the legendary Morbid Angel to take the stage to celebrate their 40-year musical journey. While fans were undoubtedly excited to see the band, many were missing former frontman David Vincent. Despite this, Morbid Angel still managed to put on an unforgettable show, with their signature sound and impressive stage presence.
Overall, the night was a success, with each band delivering a thrilling performance and leaving the crowd in awe. From the opening act of Crypta to the closing performance by Morbid Angel, the concert at Gramercy Theater on March 11th, 2023, was a night to remember for all who attended.
