Vitriol’s most recent touring lineup has reportedly quit mid-tour, according to a statement posted by newly announced guitarist Keith Merrow on his Instagram story. Merrow alleges that he, along with bassist Brett Leier and drummer Andy Vincenzetti, collectively decided to leave sole original member Kyle Rasmussen behind during the band’s current run.

Merrow claims that the abrupt exit occurred at a gas station in Vermont, citing Rasmussen’s “cowardly and weak outbursts of misplaced anger” as the reason for the mass walkout. The post, captured and reported by Lambgoat, marks yet another major lineup disruption for Vitriol, a band that has faced repeated member instability over the years.

Vitriol has not issued any public response or statement regarding the situation as of this writing.

Merrow’s full statement reads:

“HE FUCKED AROUND AND FOUND OUT.
I’LL BE HOME FOR THANKSGIVING, BABY.
SORRY VITRIOL FANS. WE HAD TO ABANDON HIM AT A GAS STATION IN VERMONT.
MYSELF, ANDY, BRETT, AND MATT WILL NOT TAKE KYLE’S COWARDLY AND WEAK OUTBURSTS OF MISPLACED ANGER.
WE GAVE EVERYTHING WE HAD, AND NOW HAVE NOW LEFT YOU WITH NOTHING. MASS EXODUS.”

According to Merrow’s post went live approximately 6 hours ago, with no further clarification from any involved parties.

Stereo Junction will continue to monitor the story as more information surfaces.
