If you’ve been tracking the heavy music underground over the past couple years, you already know Castle Rat isn’t just a band—they’re a full-blown sword and sorcery phenomenon.
Now the NYC theatrical powerhouses are ready to take the continent on their own terms.
This Fall Castle Rat will head out on the Summon The Beast Tour, their biggest headline run in North America to date. This is a 20-city crusade through some of their most iconic venues ever, including LA’s majestic Belasco and a massive hometown hero celebration at New York’s Webster Hall. Every single night is an absolute onslaught of heavy riffs, with Unto Others and Wrath Knight joining them on this devastating bill as special guests.

For those unfamiliar with the concept, a Castle Rat show is not a concert, but an interactive, lore-based battleground. Now imagine Black Sabbath riffing raw, and Frank Frazetta’s high-fantasy artwork colliding with choreographed blade-to-steel battle scenes on stage. It’s a live experience that solidified their name after their 2024 debut Into The Realm and late 2025’s sophomore success The Bestiary—the critically lauded masterpiece produced by Randall Dunn (Sunn O))), Björk) that took the music world by the throat.
For fans who crave swords & sorcery; stoner & doom; battle-babes & beasts; Frazette & Sabbath, Castle Rat, for the first time ever, will offer their fans a VIP Experience on the Summon The Beast Tour. This VIP pass will include a live sound check with the band featuring two songs, a meet & greet with signing (two-item limit), an exclusive VIP merch gift, early access to the merch booth, as well as a photo opportunity with the Rat Reaperess.
Tickets go on-sale on Friday at 10 am locally – see below to find a show near you, and your tickets on Friday HERE. And to get a taste of what to expect, check out the band’s recent KEXP session HERE.
